How did the Brampton real estate market do in February 2008?

Here are the latest numbers for the real estate market in Brampton for February 2008.  The biggest difference between last month and this month is the average time it took to sell a home.  In January, houses west of the 410 took 37 days to sell, whereas in February it only took 29 days.  Homes east of the 410 took 38 days on average to sell, while in February they took only 33.

The outlook for the coming months is good as the Bank of Canada cut it’s key lending rate by half a percentage point to 3.5%.  The Bank Of Canada has also hinted that another cut may be coming soon at it’s next meeting on April 22nd, so keep your ears open for that announcement.

February 2008

In February of 2008, Brampton had 1812 active listings on the market, 1121 of which were new listings. There were 581 recorded sales in this month. Here is the break down according to areas in Brampton.
